Birthday in Wisconsin

I always seem to spend my birthdays in unusual places. This year I found myself in Dodgeville, Wisconsin shooting with Land's End. On set I was wonderfully surprised by a delicious cake that my agent at Ford New York sent. Back at the Quality Inn I was surprised again by a beautiful bouquet of roses that my beau sent me! To top the night off the other model and I went to Wal-mart for dinner! It was honestly the only place to eat within 20miles! Working at the Land's End Headquarters has it's perks. They have a company store that I bought cozy sweaters and cute bikinis for next to nothing and they have a fully equipped gym including a track, olympic size pool and full weight room with all the machines and toys you could ever want. It was so nice to be able to use the facilities after a long day of work!
I spent my last night in Madison, Wisconsin. My good friend Sierra lives there so she showed me around, taking me to get MacNcheese pizza and drink beer on the lake. To my surprise Madison was going off! There was conga lines, raves and hip hop shows everywhere I looked! We even hopped a fence or two to get the most epic views! I love having friends all over the world!

Deus Ex Machina

While traveling through Indonesia last year, I couldn't help but see Deus ex Machina everywhere. They had the sickest surfboards and motorbikes which is all you need in Bali. When I returned back to Venice I was thrilled to see they had set up shop in my hood! They have an incredible selection of boards, bikes, and clothing. They even have a bike repair shop for all you biker babes (and boys) out there. Last weekend they had a 'Carnival of Go and Flow' at the shop. Lots of music, surf, bike, art, clothes, food, beer, friends and sunshine. I look forward to the next party! Check them out at...

Bend Extreme!

One of the best things about Bend, Oregon is that you can snowboard and chill on the river in the same day! My time home was short so I was out to make the best of it! Here I am shredding with @jpminibike and @nawrocky and cruising the river with my boy Rasta!!

Who needs a gym?

When you live in Venice, it's hard to say no to an outdoor adventure. If we dont have a casting or a shoot, Lisa usually calls me in the morning to check out the surf at Breakwater (where were thinking of starting a weekly beach clean up) Its the best way to start the day. We either bike with some boards or jog over. Lately weve been taking the bike trail all the way to Chataqua. Its a beautiful ride with swings, volleyball courts, balancing bars, Santa Monica Stairs (4TH & Adelaide) and the gorgeous trails of Temescal Canyon just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Pole Peddle Paddle

Have you ever wanted to ski, snowboard, x-c ski, bike, run, paddle and sprint all in one day?? If so...this is the race for you! The Pole Peddle Paddle is an extreme multi-sport race in the heart of Central Oregon. It brings athletes from all over the country to compete and have a great time in Bend! 36 years ago my parents started this race and now it has grown to have 3,000 competitors racing as individuals or in teams. The PPP raises money for the Mount Bachelor Sports Education Foundation.
This year I did the race with my Mom, sister and 2 great family friends. We ended up getting 4th place in our Women's Division. One place from getting a signature ceramic mug, oh well...It was so much fun! It's truly the most rewarding day, getting the best of Bend!
The race is made up of 6 stages for a total distance of about 34 miles.
Stage 1 - The downhill. 200ft uphill sprint though snow to your skis/snowboard to race down a gated course on Mt. Bachelor.
Stage 2 - Nordic Ski. An 8 Kilometer loop at the base of Mt. Bachelor
Stage 3 - Cycling. A 22 mile ride from the mountain into the town of Bend.
Stage 4 - Running. A 5 mile run along the Deschutes river trail.
Stage 5 - Paddling. A 1.5 mile kayak, canoe or paddle board on the Deschutes river including upstream and             downstream sections.
Stage 6 - Sprint. A 1/2 mile sprint to the finish.

Big thanks to Jake Price @jpminibike for the incredible photos!
